The BMETERS TAN-X5 range is designed for measuring large volumes of cold water in irrigation and bulk water distribution applications. With seven nominal pipe sizes from DN50 to DN200, the range provides a practical metering solution for installations with varying flow requirements.
Designed for irrigation water measurement, the TAN-X5 features Class A metrological classification and is suitable for water temperatures up to 50°C. The range offers nominal flow rates from 35 m³/h through to 450 m³/h, depending on the selected meter size.
Antimagnetic protection is included as standard, while optional electronic communication outputs allow the meter to be incorporated into automated meter-reading and remote monitoring systems.

Designed for Irrigation Water Measurement
Agricultural irrigation systems often require meters capable of measuring substantially higher water volumes than conventional domestic or small commercial installations. The TAN-X5 range is intended for these larger water supplies, with nominal flow capacities extending up to 450 m³/h.
The range is suitable for applications such as agricultural irrigation distribution, farm water supplies, irrigation pumping installations and bulk water monitoring, subject to the installation's operating conditions and water quality.
TAN-X5 Sizes and Flow Capacities
The TAN-X5 is available in seven nominal diameters. The following table summarises the manufacturer's published nominal flow rates, overall lengths and maximum operating water temperature.

Qn denotes nominal flow rate. DN denotes nominal diameter. Meter selection should take account of actual flow conditions and installation requirements.
Antimagnetic Protection as Standard
Every TAN-X5 meter includes antimagnetic protection as part of the standard meter specification. This provides additional protection against external magnetic interference and is included without requiring a separate upgrade.
Flexible Remote-Reading Options
The TAN-X5 range can be supplied with optional electronic communication outputs, allowing water consumption readings to be integrated into compatible monitoring, data collection and automatic meter-reading systems.
-
Electronic Pulse (IWM-PL4) – for compatible pulse counters, data loggers and monitoring equipment
-
Wired M-Bus (IWM-MB4) – for integration with wired meter-reading and building monitoring networks
-
Wireless M-Bus (IWM-TX4) – for radio-based meter reading without dedicated communication cabling
-
LoRaWAN (IWM-LR4) – for compatible long-range wireless IoT metering networks
Select the required output option on the individual product page. Meters are also available without an additional electronic output.
