The Sontex Superstatic 789 is a compact thermal energy meter designed for applications where accurate measurement, long-term reliability and flexible remote-reading options are required.
Unlike conventional mechanical heat meters, the Superstatic 789 uses Sontex's static fluid-oscillation measuring principle with no moving mechanical parts in the flow sensor. This provides a robust measuring solution with no impeller or turbine subject to mechanical wear.
Available in compact 1/2" and 3/4" sizes, the Superstatic 789 is particularly well suited to individual properties, apartments, communal heating systems and smaller commercial energy-metering applications.

Sontex Static Measurement Technology
A key difference between the Superstatic 789 and many other compact energy meters is the measurement principle used within the flow sensor.
Sontex uses a fluid-oscillation measuring principle. The flowing medium is directed through the measuring chamber where an oscillating flow pattern is generated and measured to determine the volume passing through the meter.
Because the measurement is achieved without a conventional turbine or impeller, there are no moving mechanical measuring components within the flow sensor to wear during normal operation.
Compact Residential & Commercial Metering
The compact dimensions of the Superstatic 789 make it particularly suitable for smaller energy-metering applications where installation space may be restricted.
