The Kamstrup MULTICAL 603 is designed for applications requiring greater size, communication and installation flexibility than the MULTICAL 403.
Its exceptionally broad DN15 to DN300 size range allows the same meter platform to be used across projects ranging from smaller residential or commercial heating systems through to major plant-room, industrial and district-energy applications.
The MULTICAL 603 is supplied with a 2.5m display cable, providing greater flexibility when positioning the calculator away from the flow sensor.
It also supports two communication protocols as standard, making it particularly suitable where the same meter needs to interface with more than one automatic meter-reading, building-management or energy-monitoring system.

DN15 to DN300 Meter Range
One of the principal advantages of the MULTICAL 603 is its exceptionally broad size range, extending from DN15 through to DN300.
This allows the same Kamstrup calculator and metering platform to be used across installations containing everything from smaller heating circuits through to very large commercial and industrial pipework.
Meter selection should be based on the actual operating flow rate as well as the nominal pipe size. Stockshed Metering can assist with sizing and replacement selection where the system flow conditions are known.
2.5m Display Cable
The MULTICAL 603 is supplied with a 2.5m cable between the flow sensor and calculator, providing greater flexibility when the calculator needs to be positioned away from the pipework for easier reading, commissioning or maintenance.
Dual Communication Capability
The MULTICAL 603 supports two communication protocols as standard, providing significantly greater integration flexibility than a meter limited to a single communication output.
This is particularly useful where the same meter needs to provide information to two different systems, for example an automatic meter-reading platform alongside a building-management or energy-monitoring system.
Ultrasonic Measurement Technology
The MULTICAL 603 uses ultrasonic technology to measure flow without relying on conventional moving mechanical measuring components. This provides a robust and accurate solution for long-term thermal energy measurement across both smaller and very large applications.
MULTICAL 403 or MULTICAL 603?
The MULTICAL 403 covers DN15 to DN50 and is well suited where one communication protocol is sufficient and its fixed 1.5m display cable meets the installation requirements.
The MULTICAL 603 extends the meter range all the way from DN15 to DN300, making it suitable for significantly larger pipework and higher-flow applications.
The 603 is also the preferred option where the longer 2.5m display cable is required or where two communication protocols need to operate from the same meter.
