The Itron CF Echo II is an ultrasonic thermal energy meter designed to provide accurate and reliable heat measurement across a wide range of residential and commercial applications.
Ultrasonic measurement technology means there are no conventional moving mechanical measuring parts within the flow sensor, providing a robust solution for long-term thermal energy measurement.
With sizes ranging from compact 1/2" BSP threaded meters through to DN50, the CF Echo II can cover applications ranging from individual heating circuits and apartment metering through to larger commercial heating systems and plant rooms.
A choice of communication and power-supply options allows the meter to be configured to suit the requirements of the installation, including applications requiring integration with remote-reading, energy-monitoring or building-management systems.

1/2" BSP to DN50 Meter Range
The CF Echo II is available across a broad range of sizes, allowing the same meter family to be used for both smaller residential circuits and larger commercial heating systems.
Compact threaded versions provide a solution for smaller pipework and lower flow rates, while larger versions extend the range through to DN50 for higher-capacity applications.
Heat meters should be selected according to the expected system flow rate as well as the nominal pipe size. Stockshed Metering can assist with sizing where the operating flow conditions are known.
Ultrasonic Measurement Technology
The CF Echo II measures the flow of the heat-transfer medium using ultrasonic measurement technology rather than a conventional mechanical turbine or impeller.
With no moving mechanical measuring components within the flow sensor, ultrasonic technology provides an effective solution for accurate and dependable long-term thermal energy measurement.
