The Diehl HYDRUS 2.0 uses ultrasonic measurement technology with no moving mechanical measuring parts. This eliminates the mechanical wear associated with conventional water meters and helps provide excellent measurement stability throughout the operating life of the meter.
With sizes ranging from DN15 to DN40, the HYDRUS 2.0 is suitable for a wide range of installations, from individual apartments and residential properties through to larger commercial, communal and building-services applications.
Its excellent low-flow performance allows very small volumes of water to be measured accurately, while the larger meter sizes provide the additional flow capacity required for higher-demand applications. Unlike a conventional mechanical meter, the HYDRUS 2.0 also provides intelligent operating information. DN15 to DN40 Meter Range
The HYDRUS 2.0 range extends from compact DN15 residential meters through to DN40 models for applications requiring significantly higher flow rates.
The smaller DN15 and DN20 meters are particularly well suited to individual apartments, houses and tenant sub-metering, while DN25, DN32 and DN40 versions provide a practical ultrasonic solution for larger properties, communal supplies, commercial buildings and other higher-flow applications.

Ultrasonic Measurement Technology
Instead of using an impeller, turbine or other moving measuring component, the HYDRUS 2.0 measures water flow electronically using ultrasonic signals.
With no moving measuring parts to wear, seize or become restricted through normal mechanical operation, the meter is able to maintain excellent measurement performance over a long service life.
Ultrasonic technology also provides excellent sensitivity at low flow rates, allowing small amounts of water consumption to be detected accurately while retaining the capacity to measure the considerably higher flows required by the larger DN25, DN32 and DN40 models.
Smart Metering & Remote Reading
The HYDRUS 2.0 has been developed as a smart water meter rather than simply a conventional meter with an additional pulse output.
Depending on the selected configuration, consumption data and meter information can be incorporated into fixed or mobile remote-reading systems, including modern OMS and LoRaWAN networks.
This makes the HYDRUS 2.0 particularly useful for apartment developments, commercial buildings and larger sites where manually accessing individual meters can be difficult, costly or time-consuming.
