Technical Overview
The FlowStar U uses dual-channel ultrasonic measurement technology to provide accurate and stable flow measurement without moving mechanical components. The absence of moving parts helps reduce wear and supports dependable long-term operation in demanding plant-room and energy-metering environments.
The range is available from DN50 through to DN300 and is particularly well suited to larger heating, cooling and thermal energy systems where compact heat meters are not suitable.

Complete Heat Meter Solution
The FlowStar U is designed primarily as the volume measuring component of a combined heat or thermal energy meter. When used together with an Engelmann SensoStar C energy calculator and a matched pair of temperature sensors, the complete system calculates thermal energy consumption from the measured water volume and temperature differential.
This modular configuration allows the flow sensor, calculator and temperature sensors to be selected independently to suit the application, making the FlowStar U particularly suitable for larger installations where a compact heat meter is not practical.
