The Maddalena ElecTo SONIC uses electronic ultrasonic measurement technology with no moving mechanical measuring parts. This reduces mechanical wear and helps maintain excellent measuring stability throughout the operating life of the meter.
With sizes ranging from DN15 to DN50, the ElecTo SONIC is suitable for individual properties, apartment developments, commercial buildings, utility applications and larger smart-metering networks.
One of the principal advantages of the ElecTo SONIC is its integrated communication technology. Wireless M-Bus and LoRaWAN are built directly into the meter, allowing consumption and diagnostic information to be collected remotely without the need for separate external communication modules.
The large 9-character LCD display provides clear local consumption and operating information, while extensive internal data logging and intelligent alarms provide considerably more information than a conventional mechanical water meter.

DN15 to DN50 Meter Range
The ElecTo SONIC range extends from compact DN15 residential meters through to DN50 models for applications requiring higher flow rates.
Smaller meter sizes are well suited to individual properties, apartment developments and tenant sub-metering, while the larger versions provide an ultrasonic solution for communal supplies, commercial buildings and higher-demand installations.
Correct meter selection should be based on the required operating flow rate as well as the nominal pipe size. Stockshed Metering can assist with meter sizing where the expected system flow is known.
Ultrasonic Measurement Technology
Instead of using an impeller, turbine or other moving measuring component, the ElecTo SONIC measures water flow electronically using ultrasonic signals.
With no moving measuring parts to wear or seize through normal mechanical operation, the meter is designed to maintain stable measurement performance over a long service life.
Its high metrological performance, with ratings up to R800, makes the ElecTo SONIC particularly suitable where accurate measurement at lower flow rates is important.
Integrated Smart Meter Communications
The ElecTo SONIC has been designed for modern remote meter-reading applications. Integrated wireless M-Bus and LoRaWAN allow consumption and meter information to be collected remotely without requiring physical access to the meter.
The integrated antenna is designed for strong radio performance, while the local NFC interface provides additional access for meter configuration and interrogation.
This makes the ElecTo SONIC particularly suitable for apartment developments, commercial buildings, utility applications and larger AMR or smart-metering networks.
Data Logging & Intelligent Alarms
In addition to measuring water consumption, the ElecTo SONIC continually monitors its operating conditions. More than 11,000 values can be stored internally, providing useful historical information for consumption analysis and system monitoring.
